Halloween Peek-a-boo album

I made this Peek-a-boo Halloween album based on the Fairy peek-a-boo album pattern that I bought from Laura at followingthepapertrailwithlaura.blogspot.com.  Instead of using the fairy template, I used the cricut paperdolls cartridge for my peek-a-boo characters.  

The cat with candy bucket on the cover is from a paper piecing I bought over at cookingwithcricut.com. 

The fence and tree are from cricut paperdolls cartridge. 

The bat and Happy Halloween sign are K&Company "spooktacular" layered accents. 

I used K&Company for all the printed paper and recollections for solid cardstock; 

Martha Stewart drippy goo punch was used on all the page bindings and pocket trim. I forgot to take a picture after I tied all the ribbons on the binder rings--oops!

Here is the first peek-a-boo character. I love this type of album because you have so much "real estate" as Laura calls it for pictures.

This is the witch when slid out of the sleeve. All the characters in this album were cut at 5" except the cat paper piecing on the front cover.

On the left side of the album there is a pull out at the top (see the orange paper), and two pullouts in the bottom pocket.

Here is the mummy. I cut it twice and then cut pieces from one  to layer on top on other to give it more dimension. I also inked the edges and some of the body to give it an aged look.

Here is one of the pullouts from the left side. This is a tri-fold that you can put pictures on both sides. All the tri-fold inserts have a layered sticker from the K&Co pack I bought.

This is the pullout from the very top of the page pocket. It can be used for journaling on one side and pictures on the patterned paper side.

For the pumpkin character I cut the hat twice. Once in green and then orange and cut the stem off the orange so I could layer it.

I meant to slide his pants further up under the photo mat before I glued it down. They look kind of funny!

This is what the large photo mats on the left side pockets look like. The backside can be used for journaling or more photos.

Crayon box memory album

I made this super cute crayon box memory album from a pattern and tutorial that Laura Denison at followingthepapertrail.blogspot.com has on her blog and ustream channel. This went together so fast and what a fun way to use up all those small size pictures that we all have from the school picture packages ordered every year. I don't know about you, but I seem to have a ton of them! I used DCWV school stack for the patterned paper and for the "school days" I cut out the words from some left over packaging. The scissors border is a sticker; the "I love recess" chalkboard and "play" sign are chipboard pieces from my stash. 

 this is the crayon box open to showcase all the compartments just like in a crayon box --too cute or what?

 This is the 1st grade pull out "album" There is plenty of space to put the school picture plus extra pictures of special events throughout the year.  I put two photo mats on the inside and space for journaling and the backside has one photo mat and room for more journaling or photos.

Sweet Treats Gift Bag

I made this gift bag out of the cricut sweet treats cart page 30 party favors mode. I cut it at fit to page to get the largest size possible then cut my layers.  This was perfect for my gift that was long and narrow. I then tied ribbon for the handle.

Yummy sundae card

This card was made using cricut sweet treats cartridge. I love all the layers this cart has and the fact that the size is different than the normal 4x6 or 5.7--fun fun fun! (It is really tall and narrow). I glittered the cherry and sprinkles, the candles on the 30 and the highlight on the sundae dish. I added some cute red gems on the embroidery thread on the side of the card that look sort of like cherries. I forget where the photo corners are from.

My first Pop top can!

I am always looking for fun ways to give my kiddo's their birthday cash and I finally made one of the very popular pop top cans for my daughter's 30th bday. I wrapped the can in some candy stick looking paper and glued pink feather boa around the top and bottom. I had some really cool chipboard labels and chipboard numbers that I added to the front and then used flat back pearls. After wrapping the cash in birthday tissue paper and placing it in the can I glued the top back on.

Quick cake in a box/photo album

I made this quick cake in a box/photo album for a friend of my daughter's who had a 30th bday Masquerade Party. I thought these bright and cheerful colors would suit the theme of the party well. They all had to dress up with mardi gras type masks so I thought how perfect the feathers would go on top of the lid. All the patterned paper is from Best of Brenda Walton stack and the black cardstock is recollections. Flower is Prima.

 just the side view of the cake with flat back pearls for decorations. You can't tell in the pic, but the white paper has embossed swirls and I chalked them with inks to make them stand out. Cuttlebug tiny mosaic embossing folder on photo mats.

Super cute and fun boy word book

This is probably my favorite boy word album to date. I made this for a neighbor who loves hand made items.

Instead of ribbons on the binder rings, I used sports beads, a zipper pull embellishment and some boy themed charms. The paper is All About Boys by DCWV and recollections cardstock.

This is a chipboard embellishment from k&co.

 The blue jean looking photo mats are re-purposed cardboard from a sticker package.

 I made a lot of interactive pages in this book. Here I have tucked a journaling tag behind the photo mats

I loved this part of the paper so I cut this page out first on generic paper and then slid the cowboy paper underneath template and cut again.

These next two photo's I used stickers from the paper pack and mounted them on cardstock. Each page has a pull out for photo's

These next two pages turned out so cool between the embossing and the phillips screw brads to the gatefold closure--it really makes for a fun interactive page.

I used some very old tiny ric rac that I believe was from my grandmother! I had the little metal license plates in my stash and used another sticker from the paper pack and put it on the journaling tag that is peeking out of the photo mat.

This is the last page. I didn't take a photo of the page opposite it but it is set up the same way.  These lift up to expose photo mats and tags as you will see in the next picture.
