Super cute and fun boy word book

This is probably my favorite boy word album to date. I made this for a neighbor who loves hand made items.

Instead of ribbons on the binder rings, I used sports beads, a zipper pull embellishment and some boy themed charms. The paper is All About Boys by DCWV and recollections cardstock.

This is a chipboard embellishment from k&co.

 The blue jean looking photo mats are re-purposed cardboard from a sticker package.

 I made a lot of interactive pages in this book. Here I have tucked a journaling tag behind the photo mats

I loved this part of the paper so I cut this page out first on generic paper and then slid the cowboy paper underneath template and cut again.

These next two photo's I used stickers from the paper pack and mounted them on cardstock. Each page has a pull out for photo's

These next two pages turned out so cool between the embossing and the phillips screw brads to the gatefold closure--it really makes for a fun interactive page.

I used some very old tiny ric rac that I believe was from my grandmother! I had the little metal license plates in my stash and used another sticker from the paper pack and put it on the journaling tag that is peeking out of the photo mat.

This is the last page. I didn't take a photo of the page opposite it but it is set up the same way.  These lift up to expose photo mats and tags as you will see in the next picture.

Diaper cake and card

Here is a super quick and fun diaper cake I made for my husband's co-worker. I bought a ton of cute baby embellishments from the dollar tree and stuck them all around the diaper tiers. There are rattles, large safety pins, booties, baby bracelets, baby buggy's, blocks, an "It's a Boy" ribbon, stuffed animal and I put an "ingredients" label on the back that was computer generated. I added little pom poms to the silver platter that really makes it quite cute!

The back view of the cake. The ingredients label was scraplifted by someone on the cricut message board. I hate when I write down a persons name to give credit to and then lose that info--ugh!

Fairy Album

Well it has been way to long since I have posted. I have been busy creating but have had computer issues and posting issues. Sometimes I think my blog has a bug--we will see how it goes!

This super adorable album is made from a pattern that I purchased over at www.followthepapertrailwithlaura.com Each page has a darling little fairy and pockets for lots of photos. For the most part I used her template for the face and hair but then also used paper doll dress up for some of the fairies faces and hair--worked beautifully!

This is the cover. I used Martha Stewart butterfly punch and border punch (can't think of the name of it right now); retro flower punch; sizzix flower layers die; leaf punch; prima flowers and I actually used some of my skittles that I bought hoards of two years ago-lol! The patterned paper is prima fairy flora(absolutely gorgeous stuff) that I bought from scrapadabadoo.com

Here is the left side. The top part of the page has a pocket that has a pull out for photo's or to be used as a journaling card. The lower half has a pocket that has two pull outs. One is a large photo mat and the other is a tri-fold for photo's on each side!
