150 lb. pumpkin

The pictures are of my oldest daughter back in 1985. She was asked to draw a name for the halloween basket giveaway and the store manager gave her this 150 lb. pumpkin that was on display. With the help of several people, it found it's way to our home. I ended up making Thanksgiving pumpkin pies out of it--a lot of work but so worth it! I didn't actually take a picture of my pies at the time but thought it a very important part of this layout so I printed a pie off the internet.

This layout is for the sous 1/29 sketch by Aymee. The pictures are of my son and oldest daughter over the years. I loved the clock paper representing time passed . The clock was inspired by the paper and also Beatriz Guzman. She did a layout using a compass on hers that really looked nice. I did the rest of my title around the clock-inspired by Leah's darling layout in which she put words around her circle mat. Thank you both for the inspiration! Along the clock reads: being brother and sister means being there for each other.

Cute little exploding box

I made this cute little exploding box for my grandniece's second birthday. The box top I used lace from michaels and the martha stewart doily lace border punch.

The top of the box is hello kitty card I made and then cut the balloons off and adhered them behind her.

This is the box open. I made a three tiered cake and used swiss dots embossing folder. The cake can be removed for easier photo placement and then can be put back. Plantin schoolbook for number 2 on top of cake.

This is the first layer. Used doodlecharms border feature for the dragonflies.

For this layer I used martha stewart doily lace border punch.

Only used prima flowers and reflections accents for flower centers.

Cut little tags from plantin schoolbook and tucked them in pockets that I used textile embossing folder and a little brad in the corner.

Just used ribbon on this.

Pink...its a girl thing

This is a layout I did for the Jan. 15th sketch challenge over at http://www.stuckonusketches.blogspot.com/. The picture is of my oldest daughter with a big stick of pink lipstick. She is a girly girl to this day.

Four Years

For this layout I used a past sous sketch that I had been wanting to do. This is my youngest daughter's senior pictures and I also included a poem I found on the internet. For the life of me I could not get a good shot of the layout. It looks so much better in real life!

This is for the sketch going on this week over at http://www.stuckonusketches.blogspot.com/. The pictures are of my youngest daughter on one of her summer traveling softball outings. I loved the flourish that was on this paper and thought it would be perfect for my title to go on. I scraplifted the idea of powered by: jolly ranchers, gatorade and sunflower seeds from her team manager. The sunflower seed paper and jolly rancher paper were images from the internet that I printed.

I cut the softball from an image I converted in scal. The ribbon on the side was from a pack I got at the dollar tree.

Printed a gatorade bottle off the internet and pop dotted. (Her first choice was always red)

Jaslene Word Book

This is a quick book I made last weekend for my daughter to take to a two year old's birthday party. The first pic is very blurry as it was from a cell phone (I forgot to take an overall pic). I used swiss dots embossing folder on the letters.
