What's the line-up?

This layout is for the March 18th sketch challenge over at stuckonusketches.blogspot.com.

I used a sunflower on this layout to represent the many many many sunflower seeds we have consumed over my daughter's thirteen years of playing softball. She wasn't actually going to play this year and realized in her heart she wasn't done playing.

I used a softball score sheet behind the photo and a player line-up sheet that I cut in strips;

This layout is based on the March sketch over at http://lizqualman.blogspot.com/2011/03/march-sketch-challenge-at-lyb.html. Although I did not use lyb papers, I loved the sketch and love how this came out. It will be home to dgd's first teeth pictures.

This is one of my all time favorite whimsical butterflies from walk in my garden cart.
I love the dimension that the puffy paint added to this flower!

I received a wooden frame like they sell at Michaels in an order I received and finally got around to altering it. I used K&Co paper, an old piece of lace that I have had for probably twenty plus years, flat back pearls, embroidery thread, Martha Stewart butterfly punch, recollection fabric flower and the leafy vine is from what a beautiful mess blog.

This was a super quick and fun card to make. The image is from the cutting cafe. I printed it and then colored with pencils and odorless mineral spirits. I added waterfall stickles to the icing, used Martha Stewart swirling lace punch around the page border punches, paper from stash and ribbon from Michaels.

This layout is for the March 4th sketch challenge at stuckonusketches. Unfortunately the lighting in my kitchen is horrible. I somehow missed the cutoff for the link--I must try to finish sooner!

The picture in the layout isn't the best quality but I enlarged a 1x1" thumbnail print. This is my grandmother and mother and I just adore the sweetness of this photo. My grandmother made the darling little hat my mother was wearing. I don't have many photo's of my grandmother or my mother as a young child but grateful for the ones I do have.

For Me?

This layout is for the Feb. 18th sketch challenge over at stuckonusketches.blogspot.com

My son was extremely surprised when his grandma brought him a present on his sisters birthday! He was such a huge fan of the Duke's of Hazzard show and was so thrilled with his towel.

I doubled up on sous this week by doing the sketch challenge and after seeing the sous tutorial on chipboard letters, decided to make my title out of some chipboard. The font is called "jokerman" cut in scal.

I also cut chipboard and pattered paper for the circles and attached them to the scalloped circles with colored staples.

The border on the polka dot mat was cut in scal with a file I made to resemble the Martha Stewart optic dot punch around the page. The journaling was computer generated and printed on patterned paper then cut in strips.

More Valentine Easel Card Candy Boxes

More of the valentine easel card candy boxes. The card is attached to a box that has a drawer for the valentine goodies (hershey kisses and dove chocolates). Cricut lacy labels for the box base cut in cardboard and cardstock. flatback pearls and ribbon from Michaels.

Valentine Easel card candy boxes

I made these darling valentine easel card candy boxes for my family. The image on this one is from the Graphics Fairy.blogspot.com. Cricut lacey labels for the base cut out of cardboard and cardstock. flat back pearls and ribbon from Michaels.

Seven-A two pager!

This is for the January 24 sketch challenge over at www.stuckonusketches.blogspot.com. I made mine into a two-pager and used 16 photo's of my daughter's seventh birthday party. I didn't want to make several pages of these photo's so I cropped them all except two down to 3" x 2-1/2" and they all fit. For this first page, which is based on the sketch, I used:

paper: K&Co-best of Brenda Walton for printed paper; DCWV for solid cardstock

cricut: lacy labels with hide contour feature so the middle wouldn't cut out

Title font: Chell Chrome Bold cut in scal on regular and shadow (love the cutouts in this font)

Martha Stewart: butterflies and lattice border punch (the large pink butterflies are layered three times with foam)

Recollections flat back pearls

Ranger: vintage photo ink

EK Success retro flower punch for the brown flower. I ran a stylus ball on each of the petals on the backside of the brown flower until they curled up and then flipped it over and added the white flower and pearl. I use the back side of my cricut mouse pad and a stylus and it works pretty good. I saw this technique at www.mcgillinc.com about doing flowers this way and don't have the kit so I improvised using the back of my cricut mouse pad and a regular stylus!
